Time for Redemption!
Charlie Mike Racing is a veteran and first responder organization that fights against PTSD, anxiety, substance abuse and suicide, by continuing the team environment veterans and first responders are accustom too. Our goal is to provide entry fees, transportation costs and other financial and social support to racing efforts. Charlie Mike Racing believes that adrenaline Therapy and team environments help to keep veterans and first responders engaged.
I Served the Fairfield Fire Department in Connecticut Since 2004. Prior to my time serving the resident of the Town of Fairfield I was fortunate enough to serve my country in the United States Air Force as an enlisted aircrew member in the 39th Airlift Squadron as a Loadmaster on C-130H Hercules Aircraft. My true love was racing and spent most my time racing dirt bikes. In 2019 I transitioned in to UTV's and won a championship with NEATV. My passion turned to the desert and off road racing. The beauty of the desert and the challenge of keeping a car together for hundreds of miles has drawn me in. In December of 2021 we competed in the Mint 400 and in our first desert race and was able to finish. At the Mint 400 we met a few Veteran race teams and discussed how we could help Veterans and First Responders cope with anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse and fight suicide. We came home and formed a team and charity that will give Veterans and First Responders outlets through racing in various forms to release the stress that our careers bring.
A Father, Racer, Fire Fighter and Veteran
I have served as a Firefighter in Watertown MA since 2002. I also recently retired from
the Army/ Army National Guard after 26 years of total military service. I deployed to the
middle east four times post 9/11. I spent a few years enlisted, went to Officer Candidate
School and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. I also spent a year mobilized stateside
where I served as a Casualty Notification/ Assistance Officer for families that lost
soldiers while serving; I had the honor to support 19 Families through the most difficult
days of their lives.
I have been interested in cars and motorcycles since I dragged home a 1957 Chevy
from an neighbor’s farm when I was 14. This led to more cars and motorcycles. I have
been racing the Cross Country Chase and Motorcycle Cannonball since 2018. I have
successfully ridden my 1928 Indian Scout from Portland Maine to Portland Oregon, and
my 1938 Indian Scout from Illinois to California following Route 66. I have also served
as Co-Driver/ Navigator on 3 Mint 400 Runs. Through these efforts we started Charlie
Mike Racing.
My passion
What I do
I have worked for UMASS Memorial Healthcare for 30 years assisting patients with scheduling appointments and procedures. I am a proud mother of a 31 year old son. My family has been and continues to be the center of my universe. Every year I have collected donations in order to purchase supplies to be donated to a local women’s shelter. Giving back to the community is very important to me. I am a former volunteer fire fighter in the Bungay Fire Brigade, a goal I had always wanted to achieve since I would see my Grandfather at the Worcester Fire Department as a little girl. Service to my family and my community are the pillars of my life. Joining Charlie Mike Racing has given me an opportunity to help a broader community of First Responders and Veterans in their fight against PTSD, Substance abuse and depression that leads to suicide.
